Your Journey NEEDS TO START...

There is no end point, but there is a starting point; and we each have to determine for ourselves when or if we leave the gate. And when we leave do we do it with fear, anxiety, and emotional distress? Or do we kick open that gate with determination, focus, purpose ,and a "hell ya!"?

.

Set your eyes, your mind, your heart on your ultimate picture of you and your life at its best and steel that image in your mind. THAT rendition of you is where your new path will lead you. And that is one we each have to define specifically for ourselves. NO ONE else can do that for you.

.

HOW can I start this journey of wellness, fitness, strength, health? HOW can I even open that gate? HOW do I know what to do?

1. REALIZE and ACCEPT this: your journey encompasses mind, body, soul and spirit. It WILL take all of them dancing together gracefully in order for you to become that best version of you.

.

2. PLAN AHEAD and set yourself up for success. Search in your heart for your "WHY":

.

- WHAT are the ultimate changes, results, goals that I want to reach as I start out on this lifelong journey? Yes you WILL meet and exceed goals but that is not the end of the journey; that is where you step it up to move towards the next level of who you want to become.

.

- WHEN you look at your plan, when you map out your goals and desired results as you move forward on your way DO NOT deal in generalities. Generalities are confusing and slow us down. Be specific. The details can be manipulated and adapted as you go of course; but make a plan and follow it until you reach a place where you determine the path needs to be re-calibrated and then choose to LEVEL UP!

.

3. Repeat after me... "NOT EVERY DAY WILL BE PERFECT" - and honestly some will suck...regardless of whether you move past the starting line or not, you will always have "those days".

.

4. Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who will push you, not keep you on level or pull you down.

.

5. Stop with the negative self talk, it really does damage you.  Look in the mirror every day and tell yourself you're freaking AMAZING and just keep going! NO ONE ELSE CAN DO THIS FOR YOU!

.

6. Have fun!  Will your journey of excellence and mountain moving be hard work? YES! But the team of physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual wellness is simply movement and day to day choices - so just get out there, crush some heavy weights, run like the wind, pummel that bag, or do whatever you are passionate about and moves you physically and have FUN!
